About the role 

As we’re renewing how our Customer Success team works, we’re introducing a completely new role of Account Manager (AM) to work alongside a Customer Success Manager. Together, you’ll develop customised solutions for clients, address client concerns, and ensure that Happeo consistently exceeds client expectations.

Your role is to build and sustain executive-level relationships while working to grow revenue through renewals, upselling, and cross-selling. You’ll also track client performance, provide regular updates and reports, and maintain strong, ongoing communication to nurture strong relationships with our clients. Depending on your experience, you might have responsibilities in customer acquisition as well in the near future. Overall, this role offers an active balance of client relationship management and business development in a fast-paced, startup environment.


Key Responsibilities
:

  1. Revenue Ownership:

    • Own renewal processes, ensuring timely renewals and long-term commitments.

    • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on customer needs and ROI.

    • Develop account plans to strategically grow revenue within assigned accounts, which link to the Success Plans owned by you and the CSM.

  2. Relationship Building:

    • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for customer executives and decision-makers.

    • Build trust and rapport with key stakeholders, acting as their advocate within Happeo.

    • Host Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to align on progress, challenges, and growth opportunities.

  3. Collaboration and Alignment:

    • Partner with CSMs to ensure customer adoption and satisfaction align with commercial goals.

    • Collaborate with internal teams (product, support, marketing) to address customer feedback and escalate concerns.

  4. Strategic Insights:

    • Monitor account health and proactively mitigate risks to revenue.

    • Provide insights into market trends and customer needs to inform company strategy.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Review account health data and strategise actions with CSMs.

  • Conduct regular check-ins with key customer stakeholders.

  • Lead renewal and expansion negotiations.

  • Track pipeline progress in CRM and report to leadership.

  • Prepare for and host QBRs with customers.

  • Collaborate on growth-focused campaigns with marketing or product teams.

  • Support and drive internal discussions around maximising customer and revenue outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or customer success (3+ years in SaaS preferred).

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Strategic thinker with a focus on aligning customer needs to business objectives.

  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.

  • Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to work cross-functionally.
